1Password for Windows 8.6.1
- We’ve added a new toggle for “Auto-detect network settings” under Advanced settings if you have a proxy but need a direct connection for network connectivity.
- We’ve improved how the prompt to unlock with Windows Hello appears if you use multiple displays. If you open Quick Access, the prompt will pop up on the active display. If you open the main app window, the prompt will pop up on the display where the app window is located.
- 1Password now supports using the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) with Windows Hello to unlock 1Password on more systems than before, including AMD’s firmware TPMs and virtual TPMs in certain virtualization solutions on supported setups.
- We’ve made some adjustments that should allow some customers to use the Trusted Platform Module with Windows Hello more consistently.
- Closing 1Password now dismisses the Windows Hello prompt.
- The prompt to unlock with Windows Hello should now appear faster on some devices.
- We’ve updated our internal libraries to the latest versions for general improvements and fixes.
- We’ve made changes to help prevent the app from crashing on startup on certain systems.
- 1Password will now check for supported Windows Hello features before enabling the setting to prevent crashes on older versions of Windows 10.
- We’ve implemented a different fix for the issue where customers could see a blank app window if their Windows account names had symbols or spaces in it.
